Purpose:


The Senior Analyst, Analytics & Insights is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data solutions that deliver actionable insights to support strategic decisions across SSI distribution channels. This role combines advanced data visualization, programming, and analytical skills to transform complex data into meaningful business intelligence.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:


• Develop, maintain, and distribute dashboards and reports focused on key performance indicators and internal controls for SSI distribution channels, including mutual fund sales, assets under administration, Tier 1 supervision, and compliance reporting.

• Automate and enhance processes to generate scheduled reports, ensuring timely delivery of accurate and actionable insights to stakeholders.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and maintain analytical infrastructure and data models that support accurate reporting and business insights.

• Apply scripting and programming skills to assemble various types of source data (unstructured, semi-structured, and structured) into well-prepared datasets with multiple levels of granularity (e.g., customers, products, transactions). 

• Provide business insights and develop presentation materials to support Senior Management and Executive Leadership

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Fostering an inclusive work environment and ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We’d love to work with you if you have:


• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics 
• 3+ years of experience in Data Science / Analytics  / Business Intelligence
• 3+ years of experience in programming, data modeling & engineering. 
• Advanced experience in SQL/Power BI/Visual Studio. Python knowledge is an asset.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in data infrastructure management - data mining, profiling, modeling, cleansing, enriching as well as extract, transform, load (ETL) solutions and scripting
• Ability to translate technical knowledge into business value.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of Canadian Retail Banking and Wealth Management Distribution


Work Arrangement:


• Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.  Limited travel domestically.
• The business environment is fast-paced, complex and demanding.  Heavy pressure also arises from the need to manage potential conflicting priorities constructively.
• Frequent ad hoc requests from senior officers that are directly related to the above “Accountabilities”, deadlines and unplanned operational problems are expected.
• The role may require long hours at a personal computer in preparation of documents and presentations.
