Description

The Training Center Operations and Standards Leader acts on behalf of the Head of Training within assigned Training Center(s) and is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery, quality, standardization, and regulatory compliance of training programs.
 

Operations

  • Represent the Head of Training within assigned Training Center(s).

  • Oversee the local delivery of training in accordance with applicable regulations, company policies, procedures, and guidance from the Head of Training.

  • Provide proactive oversight and management of Training Center programs.

  • Identify and communicate emerging issues, risks, and opportunities for training program enhancement to the Global Head of Training.

  • Coordinate with local Training Center leadership and staff to identify operational needs and facilitate support from the Head of Training and other departments, as required.

  • Identify and share best practices, assess the impact of proposed changes, and support change management initiatives.

  • Monitor and maintain operational data to support business and training decisions.

  • Advise and support local Training Center leadership, Training Managers, and Lead Instructors to help ensure alignment, consistency, and quality in training delivery.
     

Training and Standards

  • Monitor, review, and implement applicable regulatory, customer, and industry requirements related to training content and delivery.

  • Support the implementation of global standardization policies across local training programs.

  • Monitor training quality and initiate or recommend corrective actions to address identified discrepancies or deficiencies.

  • Collaborate with Standards, Quality, and Regulatory departments to maintain alignment with the Global CAE Network.

  • Resolve internal and external issues related to training quality, standards, policies, procedures, and customer relationships.

  • Recommend remedial training plans for clients who do not meet expected performance standards.

  • Monitor and verify the use of training resources, including TCOM, to support consistent training delivery.

  • Provide guidance and support for the development and implementation of new training programs.

  • Maintain instructor currency in at least one assigned aircraft model.

  • Participate in client training activities for approximately 10% of working time (about two days per month).

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Training.
     

Customer Relations

  • Review customer satisfaction surveys and other feedback and take appropriate action to support a high-quality client experience.

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key customers and clients.

  • Promote a customer-focused approach while managing competing priorities and operational challenges.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hold or have held a professional pilot license, or possess equivalent aviation operational experience.

  • Experience in aviation training management, aviation operations management, or a related aviation environment acceptable to applicable regulatory authorities.

  • Working knowledge of applicable aviation regulatory authorities and regulations.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational and training-related issues.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, collaboration tools, and internet-based systems.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple functions, including Sales, Customer Service, Scheduling, Engineering, Technical Services, Human Resources, Regulatory Affairs/Compliance, and Quality.

  • Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, standardization, and customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to work primarily from either the Dallas, Texas or New Jersey training facility.

  • Ability to sit, stand, and use telecommunication and computer equipment for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. (6.8 kg).

  • Ability to occasionally stoop or squat.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current instructor qualification and examiner credentials.

  • Experience implementing training standards, quality assurance processes, or regulatory compliance programs.

  • Experience leading change management initiatives in a training or operational environment.

  • Experience developing and implementing new aviation training programs.

  • Experience analyzing operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed organizational environment.
