Role Overview

As Manager, Fee Operations, Scotiatrust, you will play a key role in strengthening the way fee arrangements are implemented, governed, and continuously improved across the business. This role offers the opportunity to lead meaningful operational change, support revenue integrity, and help ensure fee structures are applied accurately, consistently, and in alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business objectives. Working closely with branches, support functions, Technology, Finance, and internal investment partners, you will help advance fee processes, support repricing initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and promote accurate revenue allocation across Scotiatrust.

Some of the Key Accountabilities

  • Champion a client-focused culture by supporting accurate, consistent, and well-governed fee practices that strengthen client trust and broader Bank relationships.
  • Lead the implementation of new and revised fee agreements, ensuring complex pricing arrangements, discounts, partner agreements, special service fees, and repricing initiatives are accurately interpreted and documented.
  • Act as a primary business partner for fee-related matters, working with fee administration partners, Technology, Finance, and internal investment partners to resolve issues and support business requirements.
  • Provide direction on fee setup, maintenance, fee-code governance, revenue allocation, and complex fee scenarios to promote consistency, accuracy, and reduced operational risk.
  • Establish and maintain a strong fee management framework through effective controls, monitoring, reporting, audit support, remediation, and oversight.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation by identifying operational gaps, developing scalable solutions, preparing business cases, and act as business lead on fee-related technology initiatives.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, training, change management, and implementation activities while acting in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, Global Sales Principles, and risk culture expectations.

Required Experience & Skills

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in trust, wealth management, operations, fee administration, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of fee structures, pricing methodologies, revenue allocation, partner agreements, and fee-code governance.
  • Experience working with operational processes, controls, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business process improvement, automation, and technology implementation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, training, and change management skills.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.

Desired Experience & Skills

  • Experience supporting fee repricing initiatives, technology releases, or system/process changes in a financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with Scotiatrust, wealth management operations, client fee arrangements, and revenue allocation processes.
  • Experience preparing business cases, operational reporting, governance materials, training documentation, or implementation plans.
  • Ability to work effectively across branches, Finance, Technology, fee administration partners, and internal investment partners.
