Schneider Electric's Home Energy team is redefining how homes generate, store, manage, and consume energy. Our ecosystem combines solar inverters, battery storage, EV charging solutions, connected electrical infrastructure, cloud platforms, and intelligent energy management technologies into one integrated customer experience.

We are looking for a Systems Engineering, Validation & integration Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team responsible for connecting requirements, product development, and system validation. In this role, you will work across hardware, firmware, software, and cloud technologies to verify product performance, troubleshoot complex system interactions, and help ensure our solutions meet customer expectations before they reach the market.

If you enjoy tackling technical challenges, investigating problems at their source, and working across multiple engineering disciplines, this role offers the opportunity to develop a broad system-level perspective while contributing to the next generation of residential energy solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and execute validation activities against system requirements for PV inverters, battery storage systems, EV chargers, and other energy management products in laboratory and field environments.
  • Investigate system-level behaviors, identify root causes of technical issues, and drive troubleshooting activities across hardware, firmware, software, and cloud-connected systems.
  • Analyze, document, and communicate defects, failures, and unexpected product behaviors identified during validation activities.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering teams to drive issue resolution, validate corrective actions, and ensure alignment with system requirements.
  • Plan, develop, and enhance test infrastructure, methodologies, and validation processes.
  • Collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and cloud teams to improve system performance, interfaces, control strategies, and overall product behavior.
  • Support the development of functional and technical requirements, ensuring they are clear, testable, and aligned with product objectives.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, requirements traceability, and issue tracking using tools such as Confluence and JIRA.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Controls Engineering).
  • Experience working with complex systems, connected products, or multidisciplinary engineering environments.
  • Experience working in cross-functional R&D teams and collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with experience investigating and debugging complex systems.
  • Knowledge of AC circuits, power electronics, batteries, or energy management technologies.
  • Experience with AC/DC sources, electronic loads, batteries, and laboratory test environments.
  • Experience using measurement and diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, or communication analyzers.
  • Familiarity with communication networks and protocols such as CAN, Modbus, and Ethernet.
  • Basic coding or scripting skills using languages such as Python or C.
  • Experience testing, validating, or troubleshooting connected systems, cloud services, or APIs.
  • Ability to translate functional needs into technical requirements and contribute to product validation activities.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a fact-based approach to problem solving and decision making.

We recognize that skills and competencies can be developed through a variety of experiences, both professional and personal. Even if you don’t meet every single requirement listed, we still encourage you to apply. Your unique background and perspective could be exactly what we’re looking for.
