Contributes to the overall success of the Retail Banking in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

The Manager, Investments Client Growth and Engagement, will design and execute short term and long term strategic initiatives that drive growth across our retail investment business. Sitting at the intersection of strategy, analytics, client behavior, and execution, you will identify opportunities to grow assets, deepen client relationships, and improve customer lifetime value. 

 

The role will leverage data, customer insights, and market opportunities to develop growth initiatives, outreach campaigns to new and existing clients, and manage cross-functional programs that deliver measurable business results. This role offers meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders across Product, Analytics, Marketing, Client Experience, Channel, and Advisor teams.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:  

  • Growth Strategy, Client Engagement & Campaign Execution:
    • Develop and execute short term growth initiatives that increase retail investment acquisition, engagement, retention, and assets under management.
    • Design and launch campaigns and go-to-market plans.
    • Develop retail investments communication and outreach strategy
    • Define and manage strategies to deliver high quality opportunities to the field

 

  • Insights, Business Cases & Performance Measurement
    • Identify and prioritize strategic opportunities through analysis of client behavior, market trends, competitive dynamics, and business performance.
    • Build business cases, evaluate investment opportunities, and recommend actions to senior leadership.
    • Establish performance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting to measure impact and inform decisions.
    • Translate complex data into actionable insights and executive-level recommendations.

 

  • Cross-Functional Delivery, Partnerships & Risk Alignment:
    • Manage external partners as part of new campaign development
    • In partnership with marketing and communications teams, lead development of mass marketing initiatives (including advertising creatives, client emails, media and partnership opportunities)
    • Partner with Product, Analytics, Distribution, Marketing, Client Experience, and Financial Planning teams to shape strategic priorities and drive execution.
    • Manage short term initiatives with cross-functional teams through ambiguity, aligning stakeholders around strategic objectives and delivering results.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, testing, and innovation to accelerate growth and client outcomes.
    • Ensure all initiatives align with the Bank’s risk management framework, risk culture, and strategic priorities.

 

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

 

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

 

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

  • Ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and deliver complex programs.
  • Experience in marketing, customer strategy, growth strategy, product management or client personalization outreach will be beneficial.
