Blue Yonder (JDA) Developer
Location: Mississauga, Ontario or Montreal, Quebec preferred; remote candidates may be considered
Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote depending on candidate location
Contract: 6 months, with potential for extension or conversion into a permanent full time role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Analyst / Developer to support, develop, and enhance enterprise Supply Chain applications, with a strong focus on Blue Yonder (JDA) solutions.
This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional with deep Blue Yonder development experience who can translate business requirements into technical solutions, develop production-ready enhancements, troubleshoot complex integrations, and support critical enterprise applications.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and onshore/offshore development resources to deliver reliable and scalable Supply Chain solutions.
Develop, enhance, and support Blue Yonder (JDA) Supply Chain solutions.
Translate business requirements into technical designs, specifications, and production-ready solutions.
Design, develop, test, and implement application enhancements and integrations.
Troubleshoot complex application and middleware issues across multiple enterprise systems.
Diagnose end-to-end integration failures and perform root cause analysis across Blue Yonder, middleware, databases, and downstream systems.
Support integrations with legacy platforms, including IBM AS/400 / iSeries RPG environments.
Develop and maintain Linux/Unix batch scripts and automated processes.
Use Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL to support data processing, troubleshooting, integrations, and scheduled jobs.
Support batch processing, interfaces, and enterprise application workflows.
Investigate and resolve production issues while identifying opportunities to improve system stability and supportability.
Collaborate with Supply Chain and business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend technical solutions.
Participate in technical design reviews, system enhancements, testing, and implementation activities.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
Work effectively within a mixed onshore/offshore development and support model.
4+ years of hands-on Blue Yonder (JDA) development experience.
Experience developing, enhancing, and supporting Blue Yonder Supply Chain applications in an enterprise environment.
Strong experience translating business requirements into technical designs and working production code.
Experience troubleshooting middleware and system integrations across complex enterprise environments.
Strong experience with Linux/Unix and shell/batch scripting.
Experience working with Oracle Database and SQL.
Proven experience supporting enterprise applications and resolving complex production issues.
Strong understanding of application integrations, batch processing, interfaces, and data flows.
Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders throughout requirements, development, testing, and implementation.
Experience working with distributed onshore and offshore technical teams.
Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
Experience integrating Blue Yonder applications with IBM AS/400 / iSeries RPG systems.
Experience with PL/SQL.
Experience with middleware platforms and enterprise integration technologies.
Knowledge of Supply Chain processes such as demand planning, replenishment, fulfillment, supply planning, or inventory management.
Experience with enterprise scheduling or batch automation tools such as Control-M.
Experience within retail, wholesale, pharmaceutical, healthcare, distribution, or other complex Supply Chain environments.
The ideal candidate is a Blue Yonder developer first, with the technical depth to work across integrations, Linux scripting, Oracle/SQL, and enterprise application support. They should be comfortable moving between development, troubleshooting, requirements analysis, and production support while partnering closely with both business and technical teams.
