As a Senior Financial Analyst, Technology Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management and reporting of technology-related costs across the Bank. Working closely with Technology and Business Line partners, you will support budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, financial reporting, and analysis activities that drive informed business decisions and support strategic objectives.

 Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Manage and maintain technology cost allocation models and reporting processes.
  • Produce and analyze IT cost allocations using activity-based costing methodologies.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Prepare financial reporting and variance analysis comparing actual results against forecast, budget, and prior periods.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain cost driver models to support technology cost management and allocation decisions.
  • Ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and aligned with accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Partner with Technology, Finance, and Business stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, reporting enhancements, and efficiencies.
  • Maintain documentation for reporting processes and allocation methodologies.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have:  

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups, and complex formulas.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data and translating findings into meaningful business insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support and present to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships across Finance, Technology, and Business teams.
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of a CPA is considered an asset.
  • MBA designation or active pursuit of an MBA is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Excel Power Pivot is preferred.
  • Prior experience within Financial Services, Technology Finance, Cost Allocation, or FP&A environments is an asset.
  • Knowledge of activity-based costing methodologies and process improvement initiatives is preferred.
