The Manager, Retail Savings contributes to the overall success of the Retail Savings in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:  

  • Leads design and delivery of Savings projects and initiatives in close collaboration with partners
    • Monitor the competitive environment, key market forces & positioning for new Savings
      initiatives
    • Lead innovation for new Savings initiatives for enhancements in product features &
      pricing to heighten acquisition, engagement & retention
    • Define & track key KPIs on new Savings initiatives to meet our Deposit growth ambition
    • Identifies any potential pricing, technology, or operational barriers to implementing ideas.
  • Collaborate with Retail Customer Growth, marketing & channel partners to drive client primacy, grow
    deposits & scale market share in priority markets
    • Develop go-to-market strategies including offers, marketing tactics & change management
    • Develop early month on book journey & engagement touchpoints in customer lifecycle
    • Promote continuous feedback cycle to evolve product innovation & tactics
  • Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and
    decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s
    Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and
    effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance,
    AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: 

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, analytics or a related field 

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in product management, Banking, and/or management consulting 

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to lead, influence, and coordinate sometimes conflicting stakeholders to drive results 

  • Strong financial acumen, analytical and market research skills 

  • Thorough understanding of the business environment, including competitors and channels, particularly when it comes to the Branch 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel 

  • Curiosity to learn and problem solve 

  • The ability to integrate diverse sources of information into tactical recommendations and plans (i.e. product, channel, marketings and customer)
