Purpose

The Sales Support Officer is responsible for contributing to the International Private Banking Offshore unit overall success by providing superior service and administrative support to the International Private Banking Sales Team. The incumbent possesses a thorough knowledge of the Bank’s commercial and retail products and services, and his/her primary focus is ensuring all activities are conducted within compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

Accountabilities

 

Provide superior service and support to the International Private Banking Unit by:

  • Delivering the desired Client Experience by consistently applying the Service basics during all PB team interactions.
  • Provide consistently excellent client experiences and demonstrate ‘Our Service Promise’ by being best at the basics: Friendly, Willing to Assist, Efficient and Professional
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Bank’s Commercial and Retail Banking products and services.
  •  Demonstrating confidence and knowledge by ensuring transactions are thorough and accurate.
  • Providing exceptional service and support combined with innovative approaches to International Private Banking Team’s service issues while adhering to policy and procedures.

 

Assist in ensuring the Bank’s risk profile is mitigated by:

  • Ensuring all Business Authentication requirements are adhered to protect the integrity of the Client and Bank information.
  • Completion of any returns/reporting requirements accurately and submitting to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
  • Completing all function-specific documentation accurately as per Bank standards to protect both the organization and the International Private Banking Unit.
  • Providing timely and meaningful client information and/or analysis to International Private Banking Sales Officers thereby facilitating the decision-making process for risk management.
  • Contribute to the quality and efficiency of branch operations as well as compliance with regulatory and internal bank guidelines by: Always adhering to custody and security procedures and Bank policies

 

Contribute to the quality and efficiency of branch operations as well as compliance with regulatory and internal bank guidelines by:

  • Adhering to position authorities and bank policies.
  • Accurately processing daily transactions and Service Requests from Salesforce originated by the International Private Banking Team.
  • Checking/authorizing transactions with approved limits.
  • Assisting with implementing changes to operation procedures and systems to increase efficiency and meet Bank regulations.
  • Complying with regulatory requirements as part of the service process
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Escalating fraudulent activities, unusual occurrences, issues/deficiencies/trends to your direct supervisor and/or Team Lead and/or AML and/or or applicable Shared Services Department as appropriate Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-today activities and decisions.
