The Asset Management Branch is responsible for the cost-effective management of the City’s $20 billion public works infrastructure assets, carrying out or overseeing the provision of planning, analysis and needs evaluation specifications, and Request for Proposal (RFP) development, evaluation and selection.
You are responsible to manage a wide range of performance assessments and functional design projects for water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure. This includes assessing, prioritizing and recommending capital and operational projects for funding. Related activities include: planning for new infrastructure to serve existing residents and businesses; modeling and interpreting hydraulic performance and hydrology; and monitoring, assessing and making conclusions regarding existing infrastructure performance. These activities typically involve directly leading and managing in-house projects or consultant projects. Projects involve input and coordination with other departments and service areas, and organizations external to the City, such as federal and provincial government agencies and conservation authorities.
Completion of 4 year university degree in Civil Engineering or a related Applied Sciences program
Minimum of 8 years of related professional experience in water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure including planning, analysis and design
