Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Junior 3D Piping Designer in the Engineering consulting industry in Burlington, Ontario. Our client a EPC firm in Burlington is seeking a Junior 3D Piping Designer to join their Industrial & Infrastructure division on a contract basis. Total rewards: $35.00 - $40.00 hourly Preferred rates for benefit coverage available Opportunity for extension or permanent placement A typical day: Assist in the development of piping layouts, 3D models, and detailed design drawings for industrial, chemical, and process plant projects under the guidance of senior designers and engineers. Support the preparation of piping isometrics, line lists, and material take-offs. Assist with the development of mechanical equipment layouts and general arrangement drawings. Coordinate with other disciplines, including structural, electrical, process, and HVAC teams, to support integrated project delivery. Assist in the preparation and revision of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Develop 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and generate 2D drawings from the models. Interpret P&IDs, piping specifications, and vendor drawings with guidance from senior team members. Assist with ensuring accessibility for operations, maintenance, safety, and equipment servicing requirements in plant layouts Support engineering and design teams in meeting project schedules and deliverable requirements. Successful candidates will have: Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (Process Piping Major) or a Process Piping Drafting Certificate from a recognized institution. 0–2 years of piping design experience; co-op, internship, or relevant academic project experience will be considered. Familiarity with industrial, process, chemical, or manufacturing facilities is considered an asset. Basic knowledge of piping design principles, piping components, and industry standards. Exposure to AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D is an asset. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for site visits is considered an asset. This posting is for an active opening.
