Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Process Engineer in the metals industry in Mississauga, Ontario. The Process Engineer will be part of the Project Operations Department, responsible for ensuring that process engineering objectives are met and that projects are executed in accordance with the company’s established standards and best practices. Our client delivers advanced technologies, products, and services to the metals and mining industries, with a strong emphasis on process optimization. Their offerings include advanced process control solutions designed to enhance energy efficiency in combustion-intensive operations, leveraging proprietary extractive and optical sensor technologies. Total rewards: $110000.00 - $120000.00 annually Health & Dental Benefits Vacation allotment A typical day: Perform process and data analysis, optimizing technical solutions and processes. Provide process engineering deliverables and field support. Contribute to technology development based on project feedback and experience. Collaborate with Sales to review documents and participate in project hand-off meetings, ensuring clear understanding of project requirements and objectives. Manage contract requirements and customer relationships to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled, risks managed, and payments received timely. Conduct on-site customer kick-off meetings to define project objectives, deliverables, requirements, and schedules. Ensure comprehensive communication of project information to internal stakeholders Monitor and control project budgets, providing updates and forecasts to management. Plan, assign, communicate, execute, monitor, document, and report project activities to deliver quality service to stakeholders. Develop and manage relationships with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-efficient project execution. Transfer customer and project information to Ongoing Service and Support department through documentation and hand-off meeting Successful candidates will have: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electrical, or related field). 5+ years of related work experience, preferably in mechanical, chemical, electrical, combustion, or process control engineering in heavy industries (e.g., metals & mining, aluminum, cement, oil & gas, pulp & paper,). Experience in aluminum industry, electrolysis, and electrochemical processes and/or the Steel Industry, EAF, and BOF steelmaking is a significant asset. Proven ability to manage mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting, preferably with international exposure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with familiarity in mass and energy balances, process modeling, and optimization techniques. Experience troubleshooting coding algorithms (e.g., Visual Basic, C++, Matlab, Python). Effective communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers, with the ability to present technical content and reports. Ability to manage multiple projects, handle issues, and make decisions in a time-sensitive manner. Willingness to travel internationally. Must be able to travel to foreign countries including the United States without restrictions This posting is for an active opening.
