Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Sr. Mechanical HVAC Design Engineer/ Leader in the Engineering industry in Windsor, Ontario. Total rewards: $120000.00 - $140000.00 annually Growth and development opportunities Opportunity to work on a variety of projects RRSP matching Comprehensive benefits coverage Responsibilities: Seek new technology applications and creative methods for accomplishing objectives Building mechanical systems design responsibilities to include: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, boilers, chilled water, hydronic systems, compressed air, natural gas, plumbing piping systems, fluid delivery systems, and energy conservation initiatives. Develop technical reports, engineering documents, and value engineering analyses. Liaise with clients & contractors for compliance with project scope of requirements and provide technical consultation, including analyzing facility mechanical system problems in the field, and recommend solutions to the client Assist in developing scopes of work and bid packages. Review shop drawings, RFIs, and field reports to meet project timelines. Lead and manage a team of 8-12 Support mechanical cost estimating and budgeting. Successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or Technologist Diploma with valid P.Eng or CET in Ontario, or actively pursuing designation 3-5 years of team management and project management Minimum 7-10 years engineering design experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, boilers, hot water, chillers, chilled water, pumps, hydronic piping, ductwork layout, natural gas, plumbing, domestic water, sanitary piping, storm piping, and energy conservation initiatives Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM360 (preferred) Experience in educational, commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects Must be familiar with preparing status reports, reading specifications and drawings, verifying contractor work, and project deadlines management and have the ability to analyze HVAC systems and processes, industry trends and then makes changes as needed Experience in selecting HVAC equipment and coordination with manufacturers representatives and experience in heating and cooling load calculations and/or experience with HAP or Trace Load Analysis software Demonstrated team leadership and ability to manage numerous issues and work on multiple projects simultaneously This posting is for an active opening.
