Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.

Position Overview

Canadian Armed Forces military members receive comprehensive medical care from outpatient clinics on the Canadian Forces Bases across Canada. Pharmacy services are integral to the interdisciplinary teams on site. A full-time pharmacist is needed to work at the pharmacy at Canadian Forces Base Ottawa (Carling Campus Location). The pharmacy operates Monday-Friday, daytime hours (7:30am – 4:00pm).

Responsibilities

  • In this role you will be responsible for dispensing medication and educating patients on their medications.
  • Liaising with Physicians and reviewing medication inventory will be part of your regular duties.
  • You will have the opportunity to directly impact the health and wellbeing of our Canadian Armed Forces while working autonomously in the pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists with proof of education and completion of national board examination
  • Current CPR Certification
  • 3 years experience in the past 5 years providing direct patient care as a clinical or community pharmacist.
  • Bilingual in French and English is required

Additonal Requirements

  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level

Compensation

$55 – $66.70 per hour

Calian est fière de poursuivre une relation contractuelle de longue date avec le ministère de la Défense nationale (MDN) pour fournir des services de soins de santé aux Forces armées canadiennes. Par l’entremise de notre Contrats de Soins de Santé, Calian embauches des professionnels de la santé partout à travers le Canada qui contribuent à la santé et au bien-être de nos militaires.

Les membres des Forces armées canadiennes reçoivent des soins médicaux complets dans les cliniques ambulatoires situées sur les bases des Forces canadiennes à travers le pays. Les services pharmaceutiques font partie intégrante des équipes interdisciplinaires sur place.

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) pharmacien(ne) à temps plein pour travailler à la pharmacie de la Base des Forces canadiennes d’Ottawa (site du Campus Carling). La pharmacie est ouverte du lundi au vendredi, durant les heures de jour (de 7 h 30 à 16 h).

Responsabilités

  • Dans ce rôle, vous serez responsable de la délivrance des médicaments et de l’enseignement aux patients concernant leur traitement médicamenteux.
  • Vous assurerez la liaison avec les médecins et participerez à la gestion et à la vérification de l’inventaire des médicaments dans le cadre de vos fonctions régulières.
  • Vous aurez l’occasion d’avoir un impact direct sur la santé et le bien-être des membres des Forces armées canadiennes tout en travaillant de façon autonome au sein de la pharmacie.

Qualifications

  • Détenir un permis d’exercice en règle auprès de l’Ordre des pharmaciens de l’Ontario, avec preuve de formation et de réussite de l’examen national d’agrément.
  • Certification RCR (réanimation cardiorespiratoire) valide.
  • Minimum de trois (3) années d’expérience au cours des cinq (5) dernières années dans la prestation directe de soins aux patients à titre de pharmacien(ne) clinique ou communautaire.
  • Bilinguisme français-anglais obligatoire.

  • Être admissible à l’obtention d’une cote de sécurité du gouvernement du Canada au niveau Fiabilité.

Rémunération

55,00 $ à 66,70 $ de l’heure
