Working closely with the Director of Finance and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll contribute to financial reporting, investment accounting, procurement coordination, and continuous process improvement. Your Responsibilities
• You'll prepare financial reports, reconciliations, forecasts, and budget-to-actual analysis to support informed business decisions.
• You'll coordinate accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, and month-end financial processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• You'll oversee investment accounting activities, including reconciliations, reporting, portfolio analysis, and transaction processing.
• You'll support annual audits, legislative reporting requirements, procurement activities, contract administration, and internal financial controls.
• You'll contribute to the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of the Financial Management System, including documentation, training materials, and user support.
• You'll identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting tools, and operational efficiencies across the finance function.

Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, investment accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and process improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data validation, and financial modelling.
• Hands-on experience with Sage 50 Accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience supporting procurement, contract administration, audits, and maintaining strong financial controls. Familiarity with Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS) and public sector procurement is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict reporting deadlines, work independently, and contribute to an inclusive workplace.
