The Team:

 

We are looking for a Sr Manager Agile Delivery who will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of scalable, customer-centric solutions within International Banking Technology through agile methodologies. Recognized for deep industry knowledge and strong business acumen, they lead cross-functional teams, foster stakeholder collaboration, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technology outcomes. With a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and financial stewardship, the role also supports portfolio management and governance to maximize value delivery and continuous improvement. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for agile delivery and stakeholder engagement. Fluency in both Spanish and English supports effective communication across diverse teams and regions.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Serve as a key leader within the organization, influencing both technology and business leadership teams to align delivery strategies with enterprise goals. Act as a trusted advisor in shaping the agile transformation journey and driving strategic outcomes across International Banking Technology.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex, and high-impact technology initiatives using Agile and DevOps practices. Ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery that supports business priorities and enhances customer experience.
  • Build and sustain high-performing, cross-functional teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Promote agile values and servant leadership to empower teams and remove delivery impediments.
  • Establish strong, collaborative relationships with business, technology, and control function stakeholders. Ensure alignment on priorities, maintain transparency, and facilitate effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and governance of the technology delivery portfolio. Ensure initiatives are prioritized, resourced, and tracked effectively, with clear visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Lead and oversee the Agile delivery team responsible for enabling product development across multiple squads. Ensure that Agile ceremonies are effectively facilitated, sprint planning and backlog refinement are strategically aligned with business priorities, and that teams are consistently delivering incremental value. Act as a coach and escalation point for other Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters and Product Owners, driving continuous improvement in agile maturity, delivery velocity, and cross-team coordination.
  • Coordinate deployment planning, operational readiness, and compliance activities in collaboration with engineering, security, and release management teams. Ensure smooth transitions from development to production.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, engineering practices, and team operations. Drive innovation and efficiency through automation, standardization, and continuous feedback loops.
  • Provide strategic oversight of risk and compliance across the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring that all delivery activities adhere to regulatory, operational, and security standards. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks, while fostering a culture of accountability and risk awareness within the delivery teams. Actively engage with key stakeholders—including Risk, Legal, Audit, and Security—to ensure early involvement, alignment, and traceability of controls throughout the delivery process.
  • Strategically manage team capacity and resource allocation to ensure alignment with project budgets, delivery timelines, and evolving business priorities. Monitor and report on delivery performance, financial health, and value realization, ensuring transparency and accountability across initiatives. Partner with finance and portfolio teams to optimize investment decisions and support data-driven planning.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset across delivery teams, leveraging institutional knowledge and systems to enhance client relationships and deliver meaningful business value.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Fully Bilingual Spanish and English oral and written skills
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in Engineering in technology leadership roles, with a strong track record of delivering complex, enterprise-scale solutions in a global or multi-regional context.
  • Experience in Jira, Confluence and any other Atlassian Products, Design Thinking, Agile methodologies and DevOps mindset
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe®, Scrum Master, Product Owner), DevOps, or Project Management (e.g., PMP) are considered assets.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., banking, financial services) with a solid understanding of risk, compliance, and operational readiness.
