The Role:

 

AML Technology within GTA (Global Application Technology) is looking for a Senior Manager who has experienced full scale data application development, maintenance and production support. If you are excited to work on a data centric application that demands high quality work in rolling out new monitoring solutions and enhancements to the existing coverages both with the speed, quality and production stability, this is the place for you.

 

What will we expect from you?

 

Reporting to the Director, Data Development, the Senior Manager as the technology owner will be responsible for the strategic direction, leadership and oversight of the teams he/she owns and ensure business and technology strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, and internal policies and procedures. The Senior Manager’s role includes application ownership besides building new solutions and maintaining the applications in Production.

 

What You Will Bring to Succeed:

  • Responsible for managing resources, technology direction, and alignment of business technology roadmaps
  • A great People Manager that can lead a team of ETL Developments and BSAs with mix of FTEs/Contractors in an onshore/offshore model
  • Delivery and management of highly complex regulatory technology program which consist of multiple phases for multiple business partners and stakeholders
  • Must be a creative, self starting, results oriented and highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills in order to apply this knowledge to independently resolve complex business problems
  • Proven interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain cooperation from business users, development and senior management
  • A very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques, including requirements specification and testing methodologies, real time analytical and formal modelling tools and keep current with rapidly changing technology.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions
  • Must be reliable, pro-active, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to details.

 

 

Skills

 

  • 15+ years of experience in IT and business/industry work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in leading end-to-end IT development cycle
  • 5+ years of experience of Agile experience
  • 5+ years of experience of financial service industries
  • In-depth of experience with application data design, architecture and development
  • Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Cloud technologies (ie: Google Cloud Platform, DBT, Hadoop, IBM DataStage)
  • Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps tooling
  • Undergraduate/master’s degree in computer science.
  • Candidates with a financial industry background will be preferred  
  • Spanish Speaking
