Purpose

 

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Wealth Insurance Content, and plays a critical role in ensuring that marketing collateral, internal resources, and compliance materials are developed and delivered in alignment with the broader Wealth Insurance business strategies and objectives. The incumbent will ensure all activities adhere to governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures 

 

Accountabilities

 

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Support the development and promotion of insurance content (articles, presentations, videos, and collateral) to drive advisor engagement and business growth.

• Assist in the review and approval of insurance-related content, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards to protect the Bank.

• Maintain website content and advisor-facing databases, ensuring information is current, accurate, and supports effective use.

• Support execution of the annual marketing plan, tracking progress and coordinating activities to ensure timely delivery.

• Draft internal and external communications, including campaigns and announcements to support awareness and adoption of insurance solutions.

• Maintain digital platforms, ensuring content is properly uploaded, formatted, and accessible.

• Coordinate and track incoming content requests, support prioritization and timely delivery of materials.

• Incorporate advisor feedback and market insights to support updates and continuous improvement of content.

• Ensure all materials follow established compliance and approval processes, mitigating risk to the Bank.

• Maintain the forms database and support communication of compliance updates in a clear and timely manner.

• Manage the central communications inbox, routing requests, drafting responses, and escalating issues where required.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Dimensions

• Fluency in French or experience writing and editing in French is an asset

• Strong communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to create content that is clear, accessible, and compliant

• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong working relationships with internal partners and external subject matter experts

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps and develop effective solutions

• Ability to lead and coordinate virtual workgroups

• Results- and client-focused, proactive, and self-driven, with the ability to exercise sound judgment independently

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, OneNote) 

 

Education / Experience

 

• Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in marketing and web management

• Knowledge of financial services and/or insurance is an asset
