The Senior Software Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and ongoing evolution of complex software solutions that support strategic business objectives. The role provides technical leadership across initiatives, translates business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and mentors engineering teams to improve delivery quality, security, reliability, and performance.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications, APIs, platforms, and services.
  • Own the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Translate broad business requirements into practical technical solutions and implementation roadmaps.
  • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, automation, secure coding practices, and DevSecOps adoption.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and engineering teams.
  • Influence architectural decisions, technology selection, and engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Security, Infrastructure, Risk, and Operations teams to deliver business outcomes.
  • Champion cloud-native, resilient, scalable, and secure solution designs.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
  • Proven expertise in system design, architecture, and application development.
  • Experience delivering and supporting mission-critical applications.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams and influence without authority
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Security Engineering, or Application Security.
  • Experience implementing enterprise-scale security tooling and DevSecOps practices
  • Experience applying cloud security practices across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
  • Experience securing APIs, web applications, containers, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proven experience coordinating technically complex initiatives across multiple teams in large organizations.

  • Checkmarx, Snyk, Veracode, Fortify, or equivalent
  • Salt Security or equivalent API security solutions
  • Container and Cloud Security Platforms
  • SIEM and Security Monitoring Technologies

 

Technical Competencies:

 

  • Software architecture and design patterns
  • API and microservices development
  • Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • DevSecOps and CI/CD automation
  • Secure coding and application security
  • Performance optimization and observability
  • Database design and integration patterns

Application Security; Threat Modeling; Secure SDLC; OWASP Top 10; API Security; Cloud Security; Identity & Access Management; Vulnerability Management.

 

Engineering Competencies:

 

Software Architecture; API & Microservices Design; CI/CD Automation; Infrastructure as Code; Container Platforms (Docker/Kubernetes); Observability & Monitoring; Automation & Scripting

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience within highly regulated financial or banking environments.
  • Experience supporting regulatory, audit, and compliance activities
