Reception, Veterinary Assistant Location: Caglary, Alberta Employment Type: Casual Coach Hill Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a Veterinary Assistant, Client Care to join our team. This causal opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly attributes to the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, expertly cared for, and appreciated! Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms. Scheduling and confirming appointments. Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients. Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control). Supporting the filing and updating of medical records, charts, reports and correspondence. Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures Safely restraining animals of all sizes Cleaning and disinfecting exam rooms, kennels, and equipment Administering basic care such as nail trims, bathing, and weight checks Handling biological materials (blood, urine, feces) Supporting end-of-life care; supporting processes for euthanasia procedures What We Can Offer You!
