The Senior Manager, Strategy Enablement plays a critical role in translating enterprise, Technology, and Office of the CIO (OCIO) strategic priorities into clear, actionable plans and engagement approaches. This role involves partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, enable execution, and strengthen organizational effectiveness through strategic communications, operating rhythms, and leadership enablement. By combining structured planning, storytelling, and performance insights, the incumbent ensures strategy is understood, adopted, and delivered across the organization


Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Lead the design and execution of strategy enablement approaches that align leaders and teams to OCIO and enterprise priorities
  • Develop and deliver integrated communications and engagement strategies that translate complex initiatives into clear, compelling narratives
  • Lead and execute leadership operating rhythms (e.g., town halls, leadership forums, offsites, reporting cycles) to drive alignment and visibility
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, Strategy, Global Communications) to enable execution of strategic initiatives and transformation programs
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external leadership engagements, ensuring message alignment and consistency across audiences
  • Lead OCIO employee engagement priorities and represent the function across ScotiaTech forums, partnering with peers to drive alignment and shared outcomes
  • Execute communication strategies across key leadership and employee routines to ensure consistent, aligned messaging across ScotiaTech
  • Own and manage the OCIO communications ecosystem (e.g., newsletters, Viva Engage, comms channels and mailboxes), ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across platforms
  • Lead the monthly intake and aggregation of updates across teams, translating inputs into clear, consistent content across the communications ecosystem (e.g., newsletters, Viva Engage, leadership reporting)
  • Develop executive-ready materials, including presentations, briefing notes, and strategic updates for senior leadership and board-level audiences 
  • Leverage insights and reporting provided by Business Operations & Insights to inform narrative, messaging, and engagement strategies
  • Support change management and organizational initiatives by aligning communications, engagement plans, and leadership messaging.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Relevant university degree in Business, Communications, Strategy, or Change Management
  • 8–10+ years of experience in strategy enablement, business management, communications, or transformation
  • Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate priorities into clear, actionable plans
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and storytelling skills for senior leadership audiences.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with disciplined quality control under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence across functions and leadership levels
  • Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • High adaptability and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and change
  • Experience supporting leadership forums, employee/engagement initiatives, and operating cadences
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to derive insights and inform decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams) and emerging AI tools to enhance productivity, insights, and content development
  • Experience in Financial Services, Technology, or large-scale transformation initiatives is an asset.
