Scotiabank Global Wealth Management's Digital Product BA Team is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to help shape the future of digital onboarding. Working across Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance, you'll play a key role in a major digital transformation initiative, helping define client journeys, solve complex business challenges, and deliver meaningful outcomes for clients and the business.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Lead discovery activities to understand customer, business, operational, and regulatory needs.
  • Translate complex challenges into clear requirements, prioritized delivery plans, and structured themes, epics, and user stories.
  • Define success measures and ensure solutions align to desired business outcomes
  • Define and evolve end-to-end client journeys that simplify experiences, remove friction, and improve business performance.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to design future-state onboarding experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer, advisor, and operational experiences across the journey.
  • Lead workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on priorities, scope, sequencing, and value.
  • Communicate risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and impacts to support informed decision-making.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, bringing stakeholders together around shared outcomes
  • Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for simplification and improvement.
  • Support business readiness through documentation, stakeholder engagement, and change activities
  • Partner with Technical Business Analysts and Engineering teams to ensure solutions reflect business intent.
  • Support issue assessment and prioritization through business context and impact analysis.


What skills will enable you to succeed?

 

  • Business & Domain Expertise
  • University or College degree.
  • 5+ years as a Business Analyst leading discovery and requirements for complex digital products or transformation initiatives in enterprise environments 
  • Digital onboarding, account opening, self-service, or acquisition experience
  • Wealth Management, Direct Investing, Financial Services, or experience in another regulated industry. (Preferred)
  • Large-scale transformation, modernization, or platform migration initiatives. (Preferred)
  • Customer journey mapping, story mapping, process modelling, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • End-to-end thinking across channels, systems, and personas.
  • Turn ambiguity into structured insights, recommendations, and outcomes
  • Use customer, business, operational, and data insights to inform decisions
  • Data-driven analysis and prioritization. (Preferred)
  • Use customer, operational, or performance data to guide analysis and prioritization. (Preferred)
  • Communication & Influence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to executive and operational audiences.
  • Facilitate workshops and cross-functional sessions that build alignment and drive decisions
  • Agile “mindset” and delivery experience including backlog refinement, story decomposition, estimation, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
  • Partner effectively across Product, Design, Technology, Operations, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to support analysis, process mapping, and requirements development. (Preferred)
