Purpose

Responsible for the credit execution, transaction structuring and ongoing monitoring of a global portfolio of bank counterparties. The portfolio includes regional banks, broker dealers, pension funds, insurance companies and other potential International Banking - Global Banking and Market (IB GBM) Financial Institution (FI) counterparties.

 

 

What you will do?

  • Provide ongoing credit and execution support for marketers/product teams and traders which includes supporting new business products/initiatives and processing their limit requests within the requested timeline.
  • The Senior Manager will become the primary service contact for the onboarding, credit execution and maintenance of these IB GBM relationships for the assigned portfolio.
  • Ongoing monitoring of market news/events and industry developments that may impact the credit quality of the portfolio, and potential ad-hoc in-depth analysis of credit related issues that arise.
  • Ongoing oversight and monitoring of overrun reports generated by back offices in order to detect trading and limit overruns and assisting in exception reporting and resolution of the same.Liaise with and manage relationships with Global Risk Management, International Banking, Global Banking and Markets, Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk Management, Legal, Tax, Finance, Compliance, Global Wholesale Services, Global Capital Markets Documentation, and other Execution teams.

 

What You'll Bring:

    • Prior Banking experience in a credit or execution related role. Exposure to regions such as Latin America, Europe and Asia is considered an asset.
    • Strong knowledge of credit analysis and lending practices, as well as financial markets.
    • Understanding of trade finance and derivative products in relation to their credit risk.
    • Familiarity with ISDA/CSA and other trading and credit documentation is essential, and knowledge of market practice/standard acceptable terms.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to independently manage a portfolio of counterparties in various countries with varying banking sector dynamics, jurisdictions, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, etc.      
    • Interpersonal and time management skills are essential, as is a strong aptitude for understanding and managing operational risks that impact the credit function.
    • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines, sometimes for extended periods of time.
    • Support IB-GBM / GCM Trading Desks Globally
    • Work with multiple trading and client management systems (ALGO, C360, CorrRisk, Salesforce)
    • The negotiation and review of documentation for related transactions for BNS, SCI, SBE, SBI, BNSAL, and SCUSA
    • Will liaise with GRM, CCR, MRM, Legal, Tax, Finance, Compliance, GWS, GCM Documentation, and other Execution teamsPrior Banking experience in a credit or execution related role. Exposure to regions such as Latin America, Europe and Asia is considered an asset.
    • Spanish is required
    • University education or post-graduate education.  An MBA or CFA is considered an asset

  

Work Arrangement:

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.  No travel required.
