Job Summary Equinix's Digital Innovation Office is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Marketing to lead and support key Marketing Technology transformation initiatives, including the Lead-to-Cash (LTC) cutover, consent and privacy architecture (Salesforce Privacy Center, Adobe AEM, GDPR consent withdrawal), Salesforce Data Cloud, MCAE-to-Marketing Cloud Advanced migration, and broader CRM modernization. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to drive complex, regulated initiatives from design through implementation and support. You will operate as a senior individual contributor and technical lead — architecting solutions and building them, not just overseeing them. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end design, development, and support of Salesforce and marketing technology initiatives across the Lead to Cash cutover and BAU roadmap Design, develop, and support solutions across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud (MCAE / MCA), and Data Cloud Lead the Salesforce MCAE (Pardot)-to-Marketing Cloud Advanced migration, including automation flows, campaign automations, and form handlers Build and support integrations between Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Qualtrics, 6sense, Openprise, AEM, and other enterprise systems Support customer data unification, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation in Data Cloud Drive legacy Salesforce migration (BAU-to-LTC) and platform consolidation initiatives Troubleshoot complex integration, sync, data-quality, and deployment-pipeline issues across environments Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, Legal/Privacy, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions Qualifications 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, with at least 8+ years focused on Salesforce and Marketing Technology platforms Expert-level hands-on experience with B2B Marketing Automation — Pardot / MCAE and/or Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder) Deep hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud: Data Streams, Identity Resolution, Unified Profiles, Calculated Insights, Segmentation, Data Actions, and Activation Proven experience designing and deploying Agentforce agents and prompt templates for customer-facing or internal use cases Strong Salesforce development skills: Apex (Classes, Triggers, Batch/Scheduled, REST/SOAP callouts), Lightning Web Components, and Flows Integration experience using REST/SOAP APIs and an iPaaS or data-orchestration platform Ability to work autonomously, drive ambiguous initiatives to completion, and communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders Required Certifications Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist (Pardot) Salesforce Certified Data Cloud Consultant Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or II Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud Next / Marketing Cloud Advanced (or a strong MCAE background with demonstrated ability to ramp quickly) Experience implementing enterprise consent and privacy architecture — Salesforce Privacy Center, contact-point consent models, GDPR consent withdrawal, or equivalent CDP/CMP solutions Experience leading or contributing to a major Salesforce org migration or platform consolidation program Familiarity with 6sense, Openprise, or Qualtrics integrations in a B2B marketing context Familiarity with CI/CD for Salesforce: SFDX, Git-based deployment pipelines, and automated testing frameworks CRM Analytics or Tableau experience for marketing performance reporting Preferred Certifications Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Consultant Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Developer Salesforce Certified AI Associate The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 139,000 - 209,000 CAD / Annual United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 177,000 - 265,000 USD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
