This means that we support hospitals, laboratories, and public safety centers. Simply put — we cannot go dark. In this crucial role, you will complete repairs, corrective maintenance, and routine installations of Critical Facility infrastructure. Do you have a background in HVAC and or skilled Mechanical trades? Journeyman‑level experience or a 4th‑year apprenticeship is highly valued in this role. This could be your next career move. Responsibilities Perform site inspections and supervise building and Data Center alarms Conduct preventative maintenance on-site infrastructure (e.g., primary infrastructure systems) or lead vendors Undertake repairs and corrective maintenance Apply extensive knowledge of critical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems Complete site logs and data gathering for basic permits, such as MOPs and scripts Respond to all on-site incidents and act as needed Complete routine work requests and circuit installations Provide assistance during critical maintenance activities Collaborate effectively within the department and provide recommendations to peers on general maintenance activities Carry out basic infrastructure projects Support a 24/7 operation — flexibility to work assigned shifts, off‑schedule hours, fill in for teammates, and respond to emergencies Qualifications Journeyman‑level experience or 4th‑year apprentice in HVAC, or Mechanical trades A natural curiosity and strong troubleshooting skills Experience working in a critical facility environment Strong system‑level mechanical or electrical proficiency Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, stooping, etc.) with or without accommodation 3+ years of relevant experience High School Diploma and or any relevant diploma in the required field of HVAC. Requirement and details Bilangual english & French The employement is a unionized position. The employement is subject to obtain a level II Secret clearance from the federal government (PSPC). The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are: Canada - OT1 Gatineau : 80000 - 96000 CAD / Annual Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
