Reception, Client Care Location: Edmonton, Alberta Employment Type: Part Time Guardian Veterinary Centre is welcoming part-time Veterinary Receptionists to our team! The perfect candidate will be an organized, motivated, eager and empathetic individual with a desire to learn more about the veterinary hospital setting. You will be an instrumental part of making our clients and their pets feel welcome and cared for, which is our top priority. Our CCS team is an important, highly valued team that supports the entire hospital. This is an amazing opportunity for post-secondary students to gain exposure and experience at the front desk of a busy veterinary hospital.  We are seeking candidates that can work weekends and evenings. Key Responsibilities Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents Answer a multiline phone system and track and schedule appointments effectively Place outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages Admit and discharge pet patients Invoice/bill clients; obtain pet owner confirmation, and process payments Perform general housekeeping duties; maintain cleanliness of reception area, examination rooms, pet holding areas, and common areas Have a willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments Learn common medical terminology Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset!
