The role: 

 

As a Senior Delivery Lead on the Cloud Platform Engineering Enablement team, you will manage technology projects delivery for Cloud Platform Engineering and Pattern Development - Tokenization Engineering teams and be part of an exciting, diverse, and dynamic work culture.

 

What will you do?

As Senior Delivery Lead you will maximize the efficiency and performance of our Engineering teams:

 

  • Establish processes and frameworks to create and maintain a portfolio view of all in-flight and upcoming projects & programs
  • Work as Execution Lead and lead the squad to achieve the successful delivery of our strategic priorities
  • Work closely with all Senior Delivery Leads, Project Managers, and Program Managers to maintain a complete high-level delivery roadmap view of all projects & programs in the portfolio
  • Establish processes, frameworks, and standards to track projects milestones and budgets for the team
  • Provide standardized regular executive reporting on the status of all ongoing projects & programs in the portfolio and team-wide operational metrics for each sprints and also maintain the long-term view
  • Lead SteerCos and help coordinate complex engineering programs & initiatives involving cross-functional teams across Scotiabank
  • Work with the team to identify and resolve roadmap and feature dependencies and impediments
  • Builds and maintains solid, professional working relationships with peers across Scotiabank: EDO, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and all Stakeholders
  • Lead and coach the organization in its digital transformation, sharing successes, lessons learned and provide vision to accelerate transition
  • Act as a role model and as change agent to support the organization through successful change
  • Identifie opportunities for continuous operational and/or team improvements
  • Help to ensure the team has access to the necessary tools and makes recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Develop a good understanding of the bank's technology systems

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

 

  • 10-15 years' experience in managing and delivering complex software projects
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in computer engineering, information sciences, business or other related field
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodology while delivering IT projects. Ideally has Certified PMI PMP and Certified Scrum master (CSM/PSM)
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of project management practices, disciplines, tools, and methodologies
  • Experience with (or knowledge of) Tokenization platforms, or patterns development and delivery is a plus
  • Working knowledge and experience on JIRA, confluence, Projects, and Office Suite
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills to rapidly assess problem situations
  • Demonstrate creativity and adaptability when identifying solutions
  • Experience of leading through influence and successfully delivery of cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate on a broad spectrum (from deep technical discussions to high level executive vision)
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and relationships management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex initiative
