The Senior Manager - Digital Risk, is accountable for launching new Risk Management initiatives in partnership with Scotia Digital. The successful candidate will leverage their ability to organize and motivate teams, they will work with Product lines, bank stakeholders, and technology teams to translate customer journey directives into actionable deliverables, and follow through to completion.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  •  Develop and execute on the Product Vision and Roadmap that is tied to desired Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)        
  • Manage and prioritize product backlog, ensuring sufficient depth of items for development consumption and commitment
  • Serve as the primary source of external information for the Scrum teams, offering clear definitions of the targeted capability, the intended value to the customer, and functional/non-functional requirements
  • Facilitate problem solving on a day-today basis as required, working closely with development on implementation challenges
  • Play a leadership role in the Scrum team to ensure that capabilities are in-scope, on-time and of high quality

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have: 

  • Experience working in agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audienceAbility to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Experience working with development teams and systems integrators to deliver successful solutions
  • Effective communication, project management and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on translating business requirements into technology solutions
  • Experience analyzing large data sets using SQL/NoSQL, spreadsheet software or other quantitative and statistical modelling tools
  • Experience working with large and multiple datasets
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
