Purpose

We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Manager, Finance to support both Scotia Global Asset Management (SGAM) and International Wealth Management (IWM).

In this role, you will partner with senior business leaders to drive financial performance, deliver actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making across asset management and wealth platforms. You will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, enhancing reporting and analytics, and supporting growth initiatives across a global footprint.

This is a high-impact role offering exposure to senior leadership, international markets, and a broad range of investment and wealth management businesses.

 

 

Is This Role Right for You? In this role, you will:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead monthly forecasting and annual planning processes across asset management and wealth businesses
  • Develop forward-looking models for key drivers including AUM, revenue, and expenses
  • Partner with business leaders to align financial plans with strategic priorities
  • Deliver clear, executive-ready insights to support decision-making

Performance Reporting & Insights

  • Oversee financial reporting, including analysis of business performance and key trends
  • Provide insights on AUM flows, revenue drivers, expense management, and profitability
  • Deliver high-quality dashboards, reporting packages, and variance analysis
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations

International & Regional Support

  • Support financial performance across international markets, including Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Lead performance review discussions with regional partners and business leaders
  • Monitor trends, risks, and opportunities across geographies
  • Enhance reporting, transparency, and consistency across regions

Business Partnership & Strategy

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across asset management and wealth
  • Support business initiatives, product strategies, and growth opportunities
  • Leverage industry and competitive insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Contribute to cross-business initiatives and integration efforts

Modeling & Analytics

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and analysis
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across financial and performance reporting

Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture focused on continuous improvement
  • Streamline processes and enhance efficiency through automation and innovation

Governance & Risk

  • Maintain strong financial controls and data integrity
  • Support audit, regulatory, and risk management processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and governance standards

 

Do You Have the Skills?

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • Experience in asset management, wealth management, or financial services
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools is an asset
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear business insights
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams
