Requisition ID: 265723

Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Location: Northern Ontario / Muskoka Region (Relocation Supported)

Are you a Financial Advisor who’s starting to think about your next step?

Many strong advisors reach a point where they are performing well, growing their book, and building meaningful client relationships, but the path to a Senior Financial Advisor role can feel unclear or dependent on timing.

We are looking to connect with Financial Advisors who are ready to take that next step.

The Opportunity

This role is designed for Financial Advisors who are looking to transition into a Senior Financial Advisor position with a more intentional path forward.

In select branches across Northern Ontario and Muskoka (including Sudbury, Blind River, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, and South Porcupine), advisors have the opportunity to:

  • Build deeper, more meaningful client relationships
  • Take on greater ownership of a client portfolio
  • Increase visibility within the branch and leadership teams
  • Progress into a Senior Financial Advisor role with clear expectations and support

In these markets, advisors often experience faster progression and greater impact compared to larger, more saturated city environments.

What You Bring

  • Experience as a Financial Advisor within a retail banking environment
  • Mutual Funds license (IFIC or CIFC required)
  • A strong track record in client relationship management and advice-driven conversations
  • Comfort delivering both lending and investment solutions
  • A desire to grow into a more senior advisory role

Why Consider This Opportunity

This isn’t just a role, it’s a career acceleration opportunity.

  • A clearer, more structured path to becoming a Senior Financial Advisor
  • Greater autonomy and ownership of your work
  • A chance to stand out and make a visible impact
  • Supportive leadership and development conversations aligned to your progression

For advisors who feel ready but are waiting for the right opportunity — this can be that step.

About Scotiabank

The Scotiabank Veterans Network (SVN) is committed to supporting veterans, reservists, and military spouses by recognizing and valuing their unique skills and experiences. As a military-friendly employer, Scotiabank actively promotes the integration of veterans into civilian careers by offering a wide range of employment opportunities across the Bank.  SVN plays a key role in this effort, leading initiatives such as a mentorship program designed to support both current and transitioning veterans.

The team was instrumental in driving recent enhancements to Scotiabank’s reservist leave policy and organized the inaugural Valour and Vision Expo in Q4 2024, where industry leaders pledged to support veterans entering the civilian workforce.  In February 2025, Scotiabank proudly served as the lead Banking Sponsor of the Invictus Games, an international multi-sport event that aids in the rehabilitation of wounded, injured, and ill service members—both active and retired.

Additionally, SVN hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including leadership symposiums and annual Remembrance Day ceremonies, to honor and support the military community.
