Job Profile:

As a member of the Security team, you will be responsible for alarm response, dispatching mobile units, responding to incidents and monitoring security cameras and alarm systems.

Duties:

  • CMS Operators are located in a secure monitoring center watching camera feeds from Manitoba Hydro sites
  • CMS Operators are trained to respond to various incidents: trespass, theft, power outages, weather issues, etc.
  • CMS Operators are not Security Guards - they are co-ordination monitors that provide direction and resolutions to alarms received by CMS
  • CMS Operators do not conduct patrols, evictions or interact in-person with members of the public - intercom communications only
  • Training includes CCTV monitoring investigations, problem solving, teamwork with partner in CMS, escalation to Hydro authorities and dispatching Mobile Units
  • CMS Operators use multiple computer systems and programs to complete their duties


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with precision.
  • Prior experience operating CCTV systems is required.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer proficiency and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle challenging situations and communicate professionally with clients and visitors at monitored sites.

Hours of Work:

24 hours per day, 7 days per week: 0730 – 1530, 1530 – 2330, 2330 – 0730 hrs

Must be available for all shifts

Wage:

$19.80 per hour
