As an Area General Manager at United Rentals, you'll be the leader of a major business enterprise while leading multiple locations in a metro market. You'll have the opportunity to hire and motivate an amazing team in various roles, from sales to service. You will build profitable locations with your business and management skills, ambition and competitive spirit.

What you'll do:

  • Lead multiple branch sales and operations activities, including fleet management

  • Ensure outstanding customer service, productivity and profitability

  • Responsible for market share penetration

  • Hire, build and motivate a great team, including performance management, training, development and recognition

  • Provide P&L oversight of all of branches within the metro market and prepare monthly operation reviews, yearly budgets and more

  • Monitor location and function performance using available tools

  • Develop a strong safety culture and oversee audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations and drug and alcohol testing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 8-10 years of successful business management experience with oversight of multiple units, with profit and loss responsibility

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience and proven sales and customer service success

  • Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office

  • Effective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills, ability to present to all levels in the company

  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on negotiating, collaborating and conflict resolution.

  • Strong analytical skills; metrics oriented

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Compensation Range:

$110,870.00 - $177,390.00
