Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Land Advisor / Representative II in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. The Mineral Lease & Contracts Analyst supports the land portfolio and other functional departments by actively preparing, identifying and providing agreement documentation and information necessary to protect and enhance the company’s land interests, assets and liabilities. The Analyst provides administrative and analytical support for acquisition, maintenance, and disposition of leases within a designated geographic area. Total rewards: $70.00 - $80.00 hourly 12 months contract position 5 days on / 2 days off A typical day: Acquire and obtain access/lease, steward, monetize and/or divest surface and/or subsurface rights to deliver/protect value and mitigate risk across the asset life cycle, and provide advice on best practices and strategic cross-functional opportunities. Develop, negotiate and execute new commercial agreements (e.g., leases and right-of-ways), obtaining all functional alignment, as required. Analyze, manage and steward contracts, as needed (e.g., acreage and risk management, and compliance). Develop, prioritize and recommend commercial concepts/structures for the acquisition and/or monetization of a business opportunity for new and existing assets. Acquire, trade, monetize or divest asset rights to deliver value. Manage and sustain external relationships relevant to own portfolio (e.g., government officials, land owners, service providers and partners). Provide guidance to support development and execution of business strategies/plans. Negotiate and manage claim/dispute mitigation and resolution. Coordinate and/or determine land ownership, evaluate risks, and cure title defects. Manage and coordinate contract personnel (field & in-house). Provide litigation support. Successful candidates will have: 5+ Years of experience required. Knowledge and experience with title, court house, alignment sheets, easement and acquisition documents. Proficient in commercial negotiation, influence, internal and external relationship management. Analyze and interpret terms, conditions, and mineral ownership information of existing agreements, as requested, and provide advice on agreements, Maintain data integrity of land records - update Land Systems and ensure the Company’s mineral interest and acreage position are accurately represented. Manage all mineral administrative work related to the assigned geographic area, Liaise with royalty and revenue accounting – provide crucial information to ensure accounting records are updated, process rental invoices, investigate non-payment of invoices. Act as the focal point for communication with internal and external stakeholders and provide a timely response to queries or requests for information, Monitor agreements for compliance and contractual obligations and relay information to the appropriate parties, Negotiate resolution to any contentious or outstanding issues/matters arising out of existing agreements with associates/third parties.
