Your Skills Keep the Fleet Moving – Apply as a Heavy Duty Mechanic Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for several Heavy Duty Mechanics in the chemical manufacturing in Nisku/slave lake, Alberta. The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role includes performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, completing repairs, and maintaining accurate service records while working in a shop and outdoor environment. The position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Total rewards: $42.00 - $49.00 hourly 2 Locations available: Slave Lake, Alberta & Nisku, Alberta Slave lake: 4 days on 3 days off - 7am-5:30pm Nisku: 8 days on 6 off - 7am-5:30pm Annual Bonus - 5% of base 2 weeks of vacation Benefits – eligible to participate in the employee group insured health benefit plans Apprenticeship reimbursement program- Tuition & Books Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and trailers Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs to manufacturer specifications Track and record daily work tasks and materials used Some out of hours work may be required for a call out basis Assist with light and medium-duty vehicle maintenance when needed Participate in continuous improvement of work practices Follow all company safety policies and procedures The successful candidate brings: Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and criminal background check required Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Would consider 3rd & 4th year apprentice Valid driver’s license (Class 1 preferred) Experience with diagnostic software (e.g., TMT, Cummins Insight, J-Pro) is an asset CVIP certification is considered an asset Ability to prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records and reports This posting is for an active opening.
