Summary

 

The Technology Services Applied AI team is a forward-deployed engineering team that embeds across Bell to build, ship, and integrate AI agents and automation into existing enterprise systems, and drives the innovation and build funnel for agentic software development. 
As a Forward-Deployed AI Engineer, you will own hands-on build and prototyping work on live engagements, turning rapid prototypes into working agentic solutions with a senior engineer as your mentor, while bringing fresh thinking to how things get built.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Own hands-on build and prototyping work within live engagements, supported by a senior engineer as mentor.
  •  Develop AI agents and automation that ship as working software, not just experiments.
  • Bring fresh perspective by questioning assumptions and surfacing new approaches.
  • Pick up new tools, frameworks, and systems quickly as engagements demand.
  • Grow toward leading your own engagements, taking on more scope and range across domains and technologies over time.

Critical Qualifications

 

  •  Above all, a builder who ships: a track record of things you have built, professionally or through personal and open-source projects
  •  Experience developing software in Python or a similar language.
  • Hands-on exposure to building with LLMs and agents, including agent skills and tools, frameworks, or MCP, through work or projects.
  • Curious and current on the fast-moving AI landscape, and quick to learn new tools.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • 1 to 3 years of experience, including recent Engineering or Computer Science graduates.
  • Internship, co-op, or project experience building with LLMs or agents.
  • Professional experience at a hyperscaler or startup considered an asset.
  • Visible personal or open-source projects (GitHub
  • Exposure to a cloud platform (e.g., Google Cloud).
  • Coursework or self-study in ML, NLP, or AI.
