Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join the Experience Design (XD) team within a leading financial services organization. You'll play a key role in uncovering customer insights that shape digital products and improve the end-to-end customer experience.

Working closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and cross-functional stakeholders, you'll lead research initiatives that inform product strategy and influence business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic researcher who enjoys translating customer feedback into actionable recommendations and partnering with teams to deliver meaningful digital experiences.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll lead qualitative and mixed-method research studies to better understand customer needs and behaviors

• You'll plan and facilitate usability testing, interviews, and other research activities throughout the product development lifecycle

• You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and stakeholders to identify research opportunities and define objectives

• You'll analyze and synthesize research findings into clear, compelling insights and recommendations

• You'll present research outcomes in a way that tells a meaningful story and drives informed product decisions

• You'll partner with internal teams, including Marketing Research where appropriate, to ensure customer insights are effectively leveraged across initiatives

 

Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience conducting UX or user research within digital product environments

• Demonstrated experience using mixed research methods, with strong expertise in qualitative research and familiarity with quantitative approaches

• Proven experience conducting usability testing and translating findings into actionable recommendations

• Experience collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and cross-functional stakeholders

• Strong presentation, storytelling, and communication skills with the ability to influence decision makers

• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related discipline

• Familiarity with research tools such as UserTesting, Zoom, Excel, SPSS, or similar platforms is an asset
