The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for the Forms Free Teller (FFT) application plays a critical role in enabling seamless, paperless branch operations by translating business needs into functional and technical requirements for the FFT platform. The BSA acts as the key liaison between Branch Operations, Technology Delivery, Architecture, and downstream applications to ensure FFT supports efficient, compliant, and user‑friendly teller workflows.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis

  • Engage with Branch Operations, Product Owners, and Customer  Experience teams to understand branch workflows and identify opportunities for digitization within FFT.
  • Document business processes, usability needs, teller pain points, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and FFT‑specific functional specifications.
  • Analyze the impact of changes on teller workflows, downstream systems, audit logging, and customer experience

 

2. Solution Design Support

    • Work with architecture and development teams to define the optimal technical solution that aligns with business objectives.
    • Participate in design discussions, impact assessments, and system integration planning.
    • Support API requirements, data mapping, and downstream/upstream system alignment.

 

3. Stakeholder Communication

    • Act as the primary liaison between business partners and IT teams, ensuring consistent communication and shared understanding.
    • Manage requirement walkthroughs, approvals, and sign-offs.

 

4. Testing & Validation

    • Develop test scenarios and support QA in validating the solution.
    • Perform UAT coordination, defect triage, and requirement traceability.
    • Ensure delivered features meet the accepted criteria and business objectives.

 

5. Project Execution & Support

    • Support project planning, sprint activities, backlog grooming, and change management.
    • Assist in readiness activities, documentation, training materials, and post‑implementation support.

 

Skills & Competencies

 

  • Deep understanding of branch banking workflows, teller operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong skills in workflow mapping, process analysis, and user‑centered design.
  • Experience with API requirements, integration patterns, and multi‑system interactions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across business and technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Agile practices and tools like Azure DevOps / Jira.
