An innovative and rapidly growing financial services organization is seeking a Vice President, Collections to lead and evolve its collections and recoveries function. Your Responsibilities
• You'll develop and execute collections and recoveries strategies across all stages of delinquency to optimize portfolio performance and reduce losses
• You'll lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing collections organization, including performance frameworks and talent development initiatives
• In this role, you'll drive operational excellence by enhancing processes, controls, compliance oversight, and scalability
• You'll leverage data, analytics, automation, and AI-driven tools to improve segmentation strategies, recovery outcomes, and operational efficiency
• You'll oversee relationships with external collections agencies, legal counsel, and recovery partners while ensuring regulatory compliance
• You'll partner with executive leadership to provide portfolio insights, strategic recommendations, and reporting to senior stakeholders and governance bodies
• You'll serve as the organization's senior subject matter expert on collections, recoveries, portfolio performance, and loss mitigation strategies
Skills and Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in collections, recoveries, servicing, credit risk, lending operations, or related functions
• Proven executive leadership experience within financial services, fintech, alternative lending, banking, commercial finance, or similar environments
• Demonstrated success improving recoveries, reducing losses, and scaling collections operations
• Strong background in portfolio analytics, operational management, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Experience managing regulatory, legal, and compliance considerations within collections environments
• Proven expertise implementing technology solutions, workflow automation, and AI-enabled operational improvements
• Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
