Your Opportunity
This position will be responsible for tasks pertaining to office administration at our Stantec office in Dartmouth, NS. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, team-oriented professional who can handle a wide range of administrative or project support tasks. We are looking for an individual who is well organised, flexible, and able to provide timely, accurate, and professional support in keeping with Stantec's high standards.
This position will fulfill 20 hours per week.
Your Key Responsibilities
Electronic and paper filing system and records management.
Assist with facility related activities associated with maintaining a safe and productive office (coordinating office maintenance, ergonomic adjustments, etc.).
Assist with office supply inventory and orders.
Collaborate with stakeholders for onboarding coordination, scheduling, and training of new staff members.
Provide support with office staff events, volunteer events, office gatherings, all staff meetings, and special events as assigned.
Handle special projects as assigned.
Reception support as required.
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) knowledge would be considered an asset.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Possess organizational skills and experience with implementing process improvements for different administrative and operational tasks in the office.
Have good time management skills and be able to prioritize tight deadlines
Bring a sense of positive energy into the work environment.
Ability to work with initiative, professionalism, and confidentiality, and able to work independently, multi-task and adapt to change in a very dynamic environment.
Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Ability to lift boxes and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Education and Experience
Qualification in relevant discipline such as Business/Office Administration or equivalent relevant experience.
Some demonstrated experience delivering excellent administration and office management services is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
