Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across communications, customer service, events, service planning, and incident response, you’ll help deliver strategic and customer-focused messaging across a variety of channels. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing strategy, writing, and execution.

What’s in it for You

You’ll contribute to meaningful public-facing work that directly impacts the daily experience of transit users across the city. This role offers exposure to integrated communications strategy, behavior change campaigns, and high-visibility public communications initiatives.

You’ll also join a collaborative environment that values creativity, adaptability, and strong stakeholder partnerships while offering the opportunity to work across digital, print, multimedia, and customer engagement channels.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll develop and implement integrated communications strategies that support major transit initiatives, customer outreach, and organizational priorities.
  • In this role, you’ll write and edit a wide range of materials including communications plans, social media content, website copy, briefing notes, FAQs, and customer messaging.
  • You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders across communications, service planning, customer information, and incident response teams to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.
  • You’ll support advertising, marketing, and customer behavior change initiatives through strategic planning and content development.
  • You’ll contribute to multimedia and public-facing communications including signage, digital content, audio announcements, and campaign materials.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in strategic communications, public relations, journalism, or corporate communications within a public sector or corporate environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, research, and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of communications planning, social marketing, digital communications, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communications tools, with UX/UI knowledge and Google Analytics considered assets.
