Location: Ottawa, ON (Remote with monthly in-person team meetings in Ottawa)

About the Opportunity
An established national organization in the postsecondary and research sector is seeking a bilingual Program Officer to support the delivery of high-impact initiatives focused on the humanities and social sciences. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help coordinate programs, events, and stakeholder engagement activities that contribute to meaningful conversations across academia, policy, public engagement, and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization (EDID) priorities.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll support the coordination and delivery of programs, events, and public-facing initiatives aligned with organizational priorities, including EDID-focused activities and discussions
• In this role, you’ll manage timelines, workflows, and stakeholder communications across multiple teams
• You’ll research and liaise with speakers, partners, and community members to support bilingual program delivery and inclusive engagement practices
• You’ll contribute to reporting, data tracking, and program evaluation activities
• In this position, you’ll draft briefing notes, meeting materials, and written communications for internal and external audiences
• You’ll help maintain documentation, templates, and administrative processes to support ongoing program operations

Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in program coordination within a non-profit, academic, government, or policy-focused environment
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in humanities, social sciences, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
• Demonstrated interest in or commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization (EDID) principles and initiatives
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and building strong professional relationships
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a proactive, adaptable approach
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, along with experience using databases or event management systems
