Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to fill three (3) positions on an indeterminate (permanent) basis:
• One (1) in Shilo, Manitoba
• One (1) in Winnipeg, Manitoba
• One (1) in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
A pool of essentially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff identical or similar positions at the Department of National Defence (DND).

• Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1, Conflict of Interest.
• Possess and maintain a valid, non-graduated, and unrestricted provincial or territorial Class 5 driver's licence.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Departmental driver’s licence (DND 404).
• Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Willing and able to walk over rough and uneven terrain, enter attics, confined space entry, access roofs, carry and climb step and extension ladders.
• Willing and able to participate in a Standby rotation within Contracts.

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following
EDUCATION
Candidates must possess at least one (1) of the following:
• Successful completion of a post-secondary program from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
• Possession of a recognized Journeyperson or Red Seal Certificate in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
• Qualification Level (QL) 6 in an equivalent military construction engineer trade.
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE
• Experience in construction/maintenance project management through all stages of project delivery.
• Experience in managing multiple construction/maintenance projects concurrently.
• Experience in estimating cost and detail scope of work for construction/maintenance related projects.
• Experience in supervising multi trade disciplines.
• Experience in human resource administration such as performance management, employee leave management, etc.
• Experience in financial management which includes maintaining a budget.

ASSET OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or Certified Engineering Technician (CTech)
ASSET EXPERIENCE
• Experience in using SAP and the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS).
• Experience in working with the Department of National Defence.
• Experience in working in a real property environment.
• Experience in working with Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) in a contract procurement process.
• Experience in any of the following specialized fields:
o airfield pavements and facilities,
o heavy industrial facilities,
o high voltage power,
o site utilities (water, storm and sanitary),
o elevators, cranes or other lifting devices,
o fire protection engineering,
o security infrastructure such as intrusion alarms, access control and shielded enclosures,
o building envelopes, and
o heritage properties.
