This is a great opportunity for a senior electrical engineer who enjoys technical ownership, customer interaction, and influencing solution architecture.

  • Influence solution design, optimization, and innovation for complex customer environments
  • Lead without hierarchy by collaborating and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams

What you will do?

  • Provide technical leadership during tendering and project execution phases
  • Support sales teams by delivering optimized and compliant power system designs
  • Define technical architectures and ensure engineering quality and integrity
  • Lead and coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and application centers
  • Independently manage smaller projects without direct project management oversight
  • Evaluate proposals, technical studies, and designs; identify risks and mitigation strategies
  • Develop engineering estimates, bid documentation, and technical customer presentations
  • Support facility upgrades for power, control, and automation systems
  • Act as a technical ambassador for medium‑ and low‑voltage switchgear and switchboards

What qualifications will make you successful?

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) in Canada
    • Candidates eligible for licensure within 12 months will also be considered
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in electrical distribution, including MV/LV systems
  • Strong capability in electrical distribution design and power systems engineering
  • Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Ability to work independently and provide sound technical judgment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Assets

  • Experience with control systems or process automation
  • Background in complex or regulated industries (data centers, utilities, mining, etc.)
  • Experience with project proposals, customer presentations, and technical negotiations

Additional details

  • Ability to travel up to 30% across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico
  • Availability for occasional after‑hours or weekend work, depending on customer needs
