Location: Preferably on site in Vaughan, ON. (Hybrid option available)
Language: English, strong written and verbal communication required
Duration: 2-month contract, with possibility of extension.

About the Opportunity
Our client in the infrastructure and construction sector is seeking a detail-oriented People & Culture Administrator to support their People and Culture team on a contract basis. This role offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple HR functions, contributing to key initiatives that support employees throughout their lifecycle.

Working closely with teams across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Operations, and Employee Experience, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth administrative processes. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your organization and communication skills will directly impact team efficiency and employee experience.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll provide day-to-day administrative support to the People and Culture team across multiple functions
  • You’ll coordinate onboarding activities and support new hire orientation processes
  • You’ll draft employment letters and respond to employment verification requests
  • You’ll triage internal and external inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses
  • You’ll maintain and update employee records within the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • You’ll schedule and coordinate training sessions and support various HR initiatives

Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as UKG is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
