Your Opportunity

Stantec has an exciting opportunity for a one-year secondment role with an established and well-respected client. The Package Coordinator for Shafts & Headframes will support the full project package lifecycle including scope development, request for proposal (RFP), proposal evaluation, recommendation to award, contract negotiation and post award management up to handover to the Construction Team. The Package Coordinator integrates all interfaces between service providers including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Safety, Permitting, and Environment. They will drive package strategies and be accountable to execute to that plan. The Package Coordinator is accountable to manage all aspects of the package lifecycle, complete other tasks and packages as required and reports to the Package Area Lead for Shafts & Headframes.

Your Key Responsibilities

Project Package Lifecycle Coordination

  • Support package strategy development.

  • Manage package coordination between all key project stakeholders.

  • Be accountable for assigned packages and support others as required.

  • Pivot on strategy and schedule as required by package.

Package Management

  • Support engineering providers to incorporate their schedule into the project integrated schedule to meet timelines.

  • Identify risks and opportunities including mitigations to maintain project schedule.

  • Work closely with the Procurement team to complete all package proposal deliverables and process steps.

  • Complete all deliverables required to execute their packages successfully.

Project Environment

  • Work effectively embedded within established Project Team

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, or equivalent industry exposure and experience.

  • 3 to 5 years of project experience on large scale industrial construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of the project package management lifecycle.

  • Proven ability to work with Contractors, Consultants and Owners team members in an integrated fashion.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of integrity and ability to identify package risks and mitigation strategies.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
