About the Opportunity
Our client, a respected organization within the public sector, is seeking a Director of Fleet Operations to support the smooth operation of its vehicle program. This role plays a key part in ensuring teams have reliable, safe, and well-maintained transportation to carry out important community-focused work.
You will collaborate closely with internal staff, vendors, and service providers to coordinate day-to-day fleet activities. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll coordinate daily fleet operations, including vehicle assignments, scheduling, and replacements
• You’ll manage maintenance and repair activities using fleet management systems, ensuring compliance and timely servicing
• You’ll act as the primary point of contact for staff regarding vehicle usage, issues, and incident reporting
• You’ll track and maintain accurate records for insurance, registration, and maintenance documentation
• You’ll liaise with vendors and internal teams to resolve fleet-related issues efficiently
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in fleet coordination, logistics, or transportation support
• Experience with fleet management systems such as Holman, Fleetio, or similar platforms
• Strong administrative and coordination skills, with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to issues in a timely manner
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required
