Reporting to the Manager, Common Service Delivery (CSD), the AISH Application Team Lead and AISH Adjudicator Team Lead provide leadership, direction, and subject-matter expertise to program and administrative staff responsible for processing Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) applications and determining general, medical, and financial eligibility.
As key members of the CSD AISH Leadership Team, these roles contribute to the development and implementation of operational plans and procedures; support change management related to program direction; and conduct environmental scanning to identify service delivery impacts and ensure quality client service standards are maintained. Both positions support management with staff recruitment, achievement of strategic and business objectives, and representation of the department at internal and external working groups and committees.
AISH Application Team Lead
This position provides direct supervision to the CSD AISH Supervisors and Program Eligibility Assessors, and serves as a program expert to the team and other internal and external stakeholders. The AISH Application Team Lead provides consultation on policy/regulation interpretations to staff and represents the Ministry in consultations related to the AISH applications with various community and ministry partners. This position ensures the program services are delivered in accordance to accepted practices and within the guidelines prescribed by Ministry policy, procedures and legislation. The AISH Application Team Lead represents the director at appeal hearings related to eligibility decisions and completes administrative reviews for genera and financial eligibility decisions.
AISH Adjudicator Team Lead
This position provides direct supervisor to a team of Adjudicators who determine medical eligibility for the AISH program and who are located throughout the province. The focus of the AISH Adjudicator Team Lead is to support staff in completing eligibility decisions and appeals related processes within a specific time frame, in accordance with accepted practices, and within the guidelines prescribed by legislation and Ministry policies and procedures. You will also be expected to adjudicate applications and participate in appeals activities, when required.
