Do you enjoy hands-on work while keeping quality and operations running smoothly? This Quality Control Inspector role puts you on the floor, inspecting product and keeping inventory moving. Agilus is recruiting for an IQC Inspector in the Life Sciences Industry in Ottawa, Ontario. The Quality Control Inspector is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring incoming and outgoing products meet quality standards. This position splits time evenly between detailed inspections at a workstation and physical work in the warehouse and Incoming Quality Control (IQC) areas. The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with physical tasks such as lifting and moving skids, and an operational mindset focused on productivity and quality. A typical day: Conduct detailed inspections of plastic components using microscopes and magnifying lenses, documenting findings and identifying defects Pull samples from incoming shipments, move skids and boxes in the IQC and warehouse areas, and ensure materials are properly handled and returned Use computer systems to record inspection results, write short quality reports, and track inventory and sample status Support daily operations by maintaining quality standards, staying aware of workflow priorities, and helping keep materials moving efficiently Successful candidates will have: A high school diploma and strong foundational skills; additional education is an asset but not required Excellent attention to detail and productivity, with the ability to stay focused on repetitive inspection tasks Energy, stamina, and a positive attitude, with comfort performing physical work in a warehouse environment An operations-focused mindset, including reliability, awareness of workflow, and motivation to keep materials moving efficiently What's in it for you: $20.00 - $23.00 hourly The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with physical tasks such as lifting and moving skids, and an operational mindset focused on productivity and quality Gain hands-on quality experience using microscopes, inspection tools, and inventory systems in a regulated, GMP-driven environment Stay active in a balanced role that combines focused inspection work with physical warehouse activity—no two days are the same Develop valuable operations and QA skills that can open doors to future opportunities within quality, manufacturing, or life sciences operations Weekly pay including 4% vacation pay Transit accessible and free parking Soft skills: Able to spot small defects and follow inspection steps accurately Reliable, punctual, and comfortable staying productive throughout the day Brings energy, professionalism, and a willingness to learn in a team environment Able to concentrate on repetitive, detailed tasks without losing accuracy This posting is for an active opening.
