Our Mars Canada, Pet Nutrition team is looking for a talented Project Manager to lead important commercialization and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to commercialization focused Project Management and is able to lead, influence and support a wide range of cross-functional resources to achieve project deliverables with excellence.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in CPG with 1 to 2 years of experience in Project Management/Commercialization.
  • Experience managing E2E Projects partnering with different functional areas (required).
  • Possesses knowledge of stage-gate processes and principles of Project Management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A motivated self-starter.
  • Data-driven decision maker, with a passion for insights to drive action.
  • Continuous improvement focused individual who leads with agility.
  • Advanced user of MS office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.), MS Project and working knowledge of SAP.
  • PMP an asset.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Project execution to bring great ideas to market.
  • Important focus on innovation and renovation projects. Some projects will entail facilitation of development, launch execution, and post launch evaluation.
  • Engage in continuous improvement and process focused initiatives.
  • Use of Project Management systems, processes and tools (i.e.MS Office suite, MS Project, internal ERP software etc.).

Lead a range of project activities including:

  • Leading, planning, and co-ordination of cross-functional team members in meetings.
  • Designing critical path and key milestones.
  • Creating and managing project reports and progress status updates.
  • Preparing meeting recaps, direct team on next steps and follow ups.
  • Monitor project status, scorecards, and process maps to help assess overall health of initiatives.
  • Maintain Project Management documentation to ensure compliance with our quality and audit protocols.
