Agilus is recruiting for a EHS Advisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in St. John's, Newfoundland. Total rewards: $60.00 - $90.00 hourly 9 Months of contract position This is a temporary requirement for approximately nine months with potential for extension. A typical day: Work directly with and support the East Coast EH&S and the Wells Project Team develop required project documentation for upcoming campaign. Provide guidance to support the selection of chemicals that minimize risks to personnel and reduce potential impacts to the environment. Evaluate and screen chemicals to be used on offshore facilities. Support regulatory and corporate environmental reporting requirements. Successful candidates will have: 5 Years of experience required. Knowledge of environmental toxicity, WHMIS 2015 and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). Experience working in the marine environment and knowledge of offshore oil and gas environmental aspects. Completion of a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or equivalent.
